DUTCH MEME #6 #BSGEPROBLEMS

We’ve done some research regarding the NYC Parks Inspection Program (PIP) and have found some interesting information. According to their website, the PIP is “a comprehensive, outcome-based performance measurement system that generates frequent, random, and detailed inspections of our parks and playgrounds”.
Delving deeper into the site, we found the inspection data of our park. The park was inspected earlier in January and they did not rate the Paved Surfaces, Safety Surfaces, Benches, and Horticultural Areas. Prior to these inspections, an interesting tidbit we found was that the Paved Surfaces seemed to always have an issue. To review this data yourself, you can visit the NYC Government Parks website or download this PDF.
The Dutch Kills Playground provides entertainment for numerous people, but these things endanger the safety of the park and make it unsafe for people to go to, especially smaller children.
We went today and surveyed the park, looking at the construction that has been going on. There hasn’t really been any construction however it’s blocked off.

It has been over 7 months since this post but the park still has no major renovations. We need your support to help speed this lengthy and costly renovation.
I am the CEO of Park Renovations. My name is Niles W. and I am from New York. We at Park Renovations are a non-certified nonprofit organization. We strive to improve the overall quality of parks. There are innumerable amount of parks that have many flaws and are have no plans to fix them. These issues can be very major issues such as park safety. Furthermore, even with the parks currently being renovated, there are a lot of unfixed issues. A prime example of this being the quality of water in parks. We plan and strive to fix these issues. In addition, parks have an enormous amount of funding, yet take so long to renovate. There are numerous inefficiencies within this process, such as within building regulations. We at Park Renovations are trying to speed up these unnecessary inefficiencies.
